Dr. Joseph Nwoye is the founder of the Systemic Diversity and Inclusion Group (SDIG) and a key member of several community groups dedicated to advancing diversity, inclusion, and social justice. His expertise lies in equity-driven initiatives within curriculum and instruction, making him a leading figure in professional development related to diversity and inclusion.
Director of Global Education
Join us for an insightful discussion on diversity and global community building with Ghina Sadek, the Director of Global Education at the University of Indianapolis (UIndy). Born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, Ghina immigrated to Indiana with her family in 2007 and has called Indianapolis home since 2012. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Indiana University Indianapolis and is currently pursuing her master’s in International Relations at UIndy.
Ghina’s impressive career and community involvement highlight her dedication to fostering global connections and cultural understanding. As the founder and president of the Lebanese Society of Indiana, she plays a pivotal role in promoting Lebanese culture and heritage. Additionally, Ghina serves on the board of Youth Global Perspectives and is a member of the 2022 Cohort of the International Center’s J. T. Morris Global Leadership Series.
Beyond her professional achievements, Ghina is a devoted mother to an 8-year-old, a supportive middle sister, a proud aunt, and a loving daughter. She is passionate about mentoring with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana, indulging in her love for reading by borrowing numerous books from the public library, and cultivating a diverse range of fruits in her home garden, including figs, grapes, persimmons, and kiwi.
